1910 - Royal North Shore Hospital Act assented by NSW Government on 14/09/1910

 

1920 - Research group established as the "Institute of Pathological Research of New South Wales" under the Royal North Shore Hospital of Sydney Act

 

1928 - Re-named "Institute of Medical Research"

 

1931 - Re-named "Kolling Institute of Medical Research"and relocated to new building at Vindin House

 

1992 - Established as a Department with Restricted Status of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney

 

1995 - Kolling Foundation established (named Northern Medical Research Foundation 95-08)

 

1995 - Institute named the "Department of Molecular Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney"

 

2000 - National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) accreditation

 

2003 - Stream 1 funding, NSW Department of Health

 

2008 - Kolling relocated to new multi-million dollar state of the art facility > Kolling Building
