Plans are progressing for Australia’s first hospice for adolescents and young adults to be built on the Manly Hospital site.
The unique service will support young adults with life-limiting illnesses, offering respite care, symptom management or end of life care.
Artist’s impressions and a video flythrough of the facility have been unveiled, giving a clearer picture of what the hospice may look like.
The NSW Government will provide $2 million each year for the facility. A community fundraising program has also been launched to raise funds towards the cost of the building.
Donations can be made online at www.kolling.com.au/donate or by phoning 9436 0610 during business hours.
Construction is set to start on the hospice in 2020.
